Which musicians have been divorced the most?

It is unlikely that many of our Atlanta blog readers look up to musicians, movie stars and other celebrities as models of solid, happy, lasting relationships and marriages. In fact, most Georgia residents can probably name several of the rich and famous who have been married and divorced multiple times.

Recently, the Huffington Post published a list of 8 well-known musicians who have gone through the divorce process on several occasions. We thought it would be interesting to share a few of those names and their stories below.

  • Jerry Lee Lewis: It appears that Lewis, a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, would also be featured in the Divorce Hall of Fame if such a thing ever came to be. Lewis has been married seven times. To be fair, two of his marriages did not end in divorce, but concluded when his wives died. Lewis married for the seventh time this year and, as of now, remains happily wed.
  • Gregg Allman: The Allman Brothers frontman has technically been divorced more times than Lewis, with six marriages and subsequent divorces. He announced that he was engaged again in May of this year, telling an interviewer that he was “really in love” this time.
  • Phil Collins: Paling in comparison to the two men mentioned above, the former Genesis frontman has been married and divorced three times. When his third divorce was finalized in 2007, his ex-wife received nearly $47 million, which was one of the most expensive divorces in Britain’s history.

Whether you are divorcing for the first or the seventh time, it may be helpful to have an experienced family law attorney on your side to help you through the process.
